- For the reliable level control in tanks and containers
- Hygienic design for the requirements of the food and beverage industry
- Use in liquid and viscous media and bulk materials
- Differentiation of media by parameterisation of the switching outputs
- For applications in hazardous areas
The level sensors of the LMT series monitor levels in vessels and tanks in hazardous areas.
Featuring high-quality housing materials such as stainless steel or PEEK as well as hygienic process connections, the sensors are particularly suited for the food and beverage industry. Numerous international approvals or certifications such as EHEDG, 3A and FDA allow the use of the sensors in hygienic applications.
The units can be used in almost all liquids, viscous media and bulk materials. They even detect extremely adhering (e.g. ketchup) or non-conductive media (e.g. vegetable oil). Deposits and foam are suppressed reliably. The device provides two switching outputs that can be set independently of each other so it is even possible to differentiate between two media.
The sensors are offered with different probe lengths.
Each LMT sensor is factory-set to a specific medium. For special requirements, the sensitivity and further functions can be adjusted to the corresponding application. Splashes, wave movements and air bubbles can be compensated, for example, by setting a switching delay.
The parameters are set via IO-Link, e.g. using a USB interface. The LINERECORDER SENSOR software is used to visualise, transfer and archive parameter sets.
